fucking asshole has been on a tear lately. 
First it's sneaking onto the scene with some free DTS shit, all amazing beatwise. 
Then it's a joint instro release with my favorite Moleman, meatwise. 
Then the muthafucker drops Vessel as the main release from Dark Time Sunshine, all but cementing himself as a force to be reckoned with, streetwise.

Fuck Zavala.

But I have a problem with this instrumental album that I've never experienced before. See, when Maker drops his instros for any of the Qwel albums, I'm all "hell yeah instros". But on this muthafucker I was all like "hell yeah instros" before getting my hands on it, then I popped the fucker in and immediately I miss Onry. ONRY! HOLD MEEEE!

Is this a diss? No.

Is this a personal dig at Zavala? I love Zavala. Fuck Zavala.

The Dark Time Sunshine album Vessel is perfect. The instrumentals by themselves, if you had never heard the shit with Onry, is fucking perfect. But if you've had them together, it's almost like teasing yourself because all you really want is the two of them together happily holding hands. It's like Zavala is playing "just the tip" and driving me CRAZAY!

What do I give this instrumental album? 10 fucking stars out of 10 fucking stars. 
What do I give this instrumental album after hearing the shit with Orny? I CAN'T SAY BECAUSE I MISSES THE ONRYs SO MUCHES.

But Zavala has this uncharacteristically analog approach to a predominantly digital production style. If you try and ignore the bleeps and bloops (and zorps and zoobs), you'll notice a freshly laid bed of rather traditional percussion that is futuristic-ified through some intense synthesizizzationz, scrutiny and lard.

Yes, lard. See, Zavala is actually allergic to everything but lard, so he has to ingest tons of lard to remain as portly and delicious as a Mexican pastry chef would be if addicted to lard like Zavala is addicted to lard.

What sets this instrumental album apart from the album with Onry is that now you get the chance to hear and absorb every blip and bloop, and it's fucking glorious. If you haven't heard the DTS album this instro will pique your interest. If you have heard the DTS album this instro will make you fucking FIEND FOR IT.

Fuck Zavala.
