Tom Doz

Every morning I wake up and take a dull pencil to the dimple of my chin to ensure that it stays deep enough to utilize for everyday activities well into my old age. I call it shaping for the future. These activities include opening beer bottles, getting deep into those back massaging pressure points and storing Monopoly pieces. I also listen to music. I love music. Especially music that Employee hates.

One Song: FERN - It Comes Slow

Tom Doz | October 12, 2015
What. The. Fuck? I'm obsssed with this song. Who are you FERN? Why do you have one song on Soundcloud and a Facebook account with little to no information? 'It Comes Slow' is a dichatomy of opposing forces. It's sweet and soothing, but intense as fuck. It...

Ryan Adams v Taylor Swift - Who the f!@# cares?

Tom Doz | September 21, 2015
Why do I read internet comments? Having an adamant stance on something that is subjective just proves that you (and this is not subjective) are a shit-faced piece of face shit.  Just because you are anonomously commenting on the computer doesn't give you an...

Palehound - Dry Food

Tom Doz | September 14, 2015
My daughter is 3 and her hair is always in her fucking eyes. She swipes at it and swipes at it by sliding the back of her palm across her forehead. If you ever get to meet her, it's probably why she has grape jelly in her bangs.  Of course I always suggest:...

One Song: Youth Lagoon - Rotten Human

Tom Doz | September 10, 2015
Yesterday after I shared 'Rotten Human' with Tim and Joel for some reason we ended up talking about how shitty people can be. All people. Even you and me.  With all the shit going on in the world today, whether it be the Syrian refugees, Kim Davis, Violence,...

SYFFAList - Why aren't these guys good enough for the radio?

Tom Doz | August 25, 2015
Call me perfasanated or faslexed.  I've written that I'm now an occasional radio listener thanks to my kids. And I'm continually surprised when I hear bands/artists that we've covered years ago get play time on Top 40.  I don't mean to make that observation...

One Song: ZOO - Bobby

Tom Doz | August 13, 2015
...an excerpt from Tom's music diary: 35 seconds into this track by Zoo I could feel the chorus coming after crescendoing plea for 'Bobby': "Bobby, BOBBY, BOBBEEEEEEEY." *Zach Morris Timeout* This is the moment that...

One Song: Diane Coffee - Everyday

Tom Doz | August 10, 2015
In case you need some updating, Diane Coffee is Shaun Flemming and Shaun Flemming is also the drummer in Foxygen. And as I'm fact checking my info on Wikipedia I'm learning that he was also a...

City Calm Down - Wandering

Tom Doz | August 6, 2015
The first instinct I had when I heard this song was to share it with Del because City Calm Down sound like the perfect combination of Future Islands and The National. AND I KNOW Del would want to be the Salami in that sammich of chest hair. ...

One Song: Luke Sital-Singh - Still

Tom Doz | August 5, 2015
Thanks to Joel we seem to have a lot of Ben Howard fans lurking around here these days. You'll notice them from the mascara stains and I (heart) Dr. McDreamy shirts.  And yes...I make fun, but every now and then I too need a skim frappacino to catch the tears...
